TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PAYMENT POLICY

Welcome to an equitable contribution-based practice. If the suggested contribution for any service creates a financial hardship for you, let’s have a conversation before your appointment to go over my sliding scale. All classes are by respectful donation.

Your contribution is due at the time of your visit. For in-person visits, I accept only cash or check. If you are unable to pay by cash or check, there is a $10 administrative fee added to the service fee for credit card payments. This is true also for late cancellation fees charged to your credit card for missed in-person appointments. For non-local visits, please pay by credit or debit card via PayPal . I appreciate you covering the 4% fee charged to me by these credit card processing company.

Some insurance companies cover acupuncture. I do not accept direct payment from insurance.

If you need an invoice of payment for acupuncture treatment for tax or other purposes, requests for an invoice must be made at the time of your appointment, no exceptions.

Please understand that I have to keep within our scheduled time, even if that means ending the appointment before all your questions are answered.

In some circumstances I am happy to trade for my services. My trade exchange is based on the full suggested donation for the service you are receiving.

ABOUT THE SPACE: For those with severe allergies or chemical sensitivities

I am aware that some clients have strong sensitivities to chemicals, allergens, or electromagnetic fields. I use only unscented, natural products for cleaning the space. Despite a heightened level of cleanliness, air purification, and maintaining a reasonably dry space through dehumidification, it is not possible to make the space allergen-free for clients who have sensitivity to mold, mildew, cat dander, or aromas from essential oils or moxibustion. I have wi-fi in my office. If you have strong sensitivity to these and find that other spaces in this region cause you issues, I can work with you online or outdoors in the summer. Otherwise, you may want to seek care elsewhere.

APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY
Please be considerate of others who are waiting for appointments to become available. If you cannot make your appointment, please cancel 24 hours in advance. You may make changes to appointments online through my online booking site (via website), or contact me by phone, email or through my website.

Regardless of contribution system, there is a firm fee for late cancellation: 80% of the service's posted fee.

Cancellation due to emergency, unsafe travel or common cold or flu symptoms is exempt. I will be happy to reschedule you for a more convenient time.

COVID 19, COMMON COLD, AND FLU POLICY

Since my office is a place of public accommodation and you assume all risk of exposure to viruses, I recommend you wear an N95 or KN95 mask. As long as you do not have any common cold, flu, or Covid symptoms, this is a suggestion, not a requirement. I may be wearing an N95/KN95 mask.

Please do not come to an in-person appointment if you have any symptoms of common cold, or flu, or Covid. If you have common cold/ flu/Covid symptoms, please reschedule for at least 7 days from the time your symptoms began. In the meantime, I encourage you to meet online for support through self care and herbal medicines.

If someone in your household or workplace has cold or flu symptoms, or has Covid, and you have no symptoms, you need to wear a mask to your appointment.

Please be aware that I may have to reschedule your appointment if you arrive at your office visit and have a temperature or symptoms of a common cold or flu, or if you don’t want to wear a mask. In this case, please understand that the late cancellation charge applies.
